Summer ....

...started five minutes ago, and it's already almost over. Seriously makes me in a bad mood....

Well, it's probably gone by at warp speed because we were so, so busy. With a trip to California, three scout camps, and various other activities, it was nonstop fun all summer long.

While Chris and the big boys were at camp one week, Lindsey and Joseph and I went tubing on the Provo River. It was a lot rougher of a ride than I expected, so this is pretty much the only photo I got before I put my phone away for good. Turned out to be a good plan bc soon after this I was dragged under some branches and lost my brand new sunglasses. Grrr!! 😡😡😡

Here's a shot of the boy kicking back before things got a little crazy.

We took the kids kayaking not long ago, and that was great fun.

Nathaniel's friend sam went along, and you shoulda seen the amount of trouble these three had steering that canoe! Hilarious.

Another of our adventures was a week-long trip to Philmont Training camp in New Mexico. Here are my cuties chillin at a cool rest stop along the way.

Shooting sports at Philmont.

With my big boy before he left us to go out in the middle of who knows where with his NAYLE training group. He didn't want to be in a photo and he wasn't feeling well, so he refused to smile.

These pictures are out of order -- this is me and Becca at The Jets/Debbie Gibson concert. So. Much. 80s. Fun.

While at Philmont, I was able to do some really fun stuff, like horseback riding and whitewater rafting.

The kids in front of a mountain called the Tooth of Time.

Ready for the daily monsoon.

Silly boy hanging around in the tent.

Mr. Scouting Man

Saying goodbye to their bub for the week.

Lindsey and me in front of our tent.

My handsome boys before church one day. Couldn't resist taking this.

This kid grew like a weed this summer. Suddenly he's taller than me and closing in on Nathaniel.

Helping their little bro get ready for church.

We took a trip to California with mom to visit my brothers. One of our stops was in Lake Tahoe, which is so gorgeous. I hope we can go back again soon and stay longer. Here's a shot of my boy, who never fails to find a good walking stick.

Chillaxing in the sweet condo we stayed in. Definitely wanna stay there again!

Visiting with their uncles was a highlight. Here they are with Uncle Adam.

And with Uncle Josh.

At the beach in Santa Cruz. This was the most warmth and sushine we saw all week.

We loved seeing Uncle Caleb and Aunt Shae as well!!!

We spent one day at the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz and had a blast. Look at my cute mom and my crazy brother! Nathaniel and Bradley are clearing having so much fun!

We bribed Jospeh to ride this roller coaster. He loved it!

Having a delicious lunch at Pizza My Heart.

With my honey on the coast in Monterey Bay. Such a lovely (and chilly) place.

A real highlight was whale watching out in the ocean. We saw many humpbacks and lots of dolphins and seals. It was really awesome.

Never thought I'd be on a boat....

Two Dolphins jumped out of the water right before I took this. Woulda been such and awesome photo!

We stopped at the temple on our way through Oakland. What a beautiful place! It was up in the hills and had an amazing view of San Francisco.

In Carmel we stopped for hot chocolate to warm ourselves up!!

Bundled up at the beach in Carmel. My silly, daredevil daughter couldn't resist inching out father and father into the freezing water, even as I was telling her not to. A huge wave crashed and nearly knocked her down and pulled her out. After that she seemed to listen a little better.

This guy had an awesome baseball season too!

And had a book published at school as part of Story Studio.

Chris and I got to go to Georgia for my niece Kaitlyn's graduation, and we were so happy to visit with much of our family. Dad brought Mel and Henry up from Florida, and Manda and Josh came down from Tennessee!

Chris and I even got in the Augusta Chronicle while we were there.

In May, my firstborn son was ordained a Priest. I had to stand on my tiptoes to give him a kiss! I love this boy, and I could not be prouder of him.

Oh, I forgot this little gem -- here's the bat that was flying around my tent one night.

My lovely girl.

Playing checkers with my bud.

I adore this photo of my sister and her baby boy. Can't stop looking at this kid!

The perfect cake and ice cream spread that my honey love got me for my birthday. Mmmmmmm.

Back in May, this handsome dude turned 16.

These are people I love and adore with all my heart. This photo means so much to me cuz it shows us all together, packed in my bed like sardines. My favorite place to be is next to them!
