Apparently he has saved the school lots of dough, so he was rewarded with the following:
-- A cool trophy thing
-- A sweet gift card to Chef's Table
-- Some cash - nice!
So Chris and I went to eat at this fancy-schmancy restaurant, and it was pretty awesome. I have driven by it for years and never imagined affording it. The prices were actually very reasonable, and the food was delicious.
Chris ordered the beef medallions with horseradish mashed potatoes.
I had the prosciutto stuffed chicken with rice and veggies. Very yummy. If you go, I highly recommend this dish.
For dessert we shared this adorable looking, delicious tasting german chocolate cake.
Thanks, honey, for taking me out on a wonderful date to a great place and for being such a great employee who is more than worthy of such accolades.

Way to go, Chris. It's about time they recognized all the work you put in to correcting that insane place. I have to admit, we haven't missed dispatch one bit... well okay, we miss you guys, but that's honestly it. What a messed up place - nice to see you cleaning it up a bit.
We always wanted to try the chef's table but heard it was to expensive. My in-laws went there for every anniversary they had when they were in Provo and they loved the food too.

I tried getting into Chef's Table for Mel's graduation celebration but they were booked way in advance. Glad you were finally able to enjoy it!

I thought you were going to end with his reward just being the trophy, and it cracked me because you said he had saved the university a lot of moolah. Didn't seem like such a great return. :)
But I'm glad you guys got more than that and time out together...even better!
