Lovin' Summer

Yes, the most wonderful time of the year is upon us -- at least it's the most wonderful to me, though I know some of you would disagree. I love summer! I love the hot weather (I can say that since I'm blessed to have air conditioning), and I love having the kids out of school.

Summer means lots of cool stuff.

Hanging out in the backyard.

Trampoline jumping.

Having a picnic lunch on the grass.

Playing ball with the boys.

Sitting in the swing with my dirty-faced boy.

Eating strawberries right out of this awesome strawberry patch.

Growing a garden.

Because of all the reading he did this year, Bradley was entered in a drawing and won this really cool bike. Even though he doesn't look it here, he's pretty happy about it.

Nathaniel had a very succesful Cub Scout Olympics this year, winning ribbons for First Place in Pushups and Second Place for Standing Long Jump. He was the overall Silver Medalist in the Webelos age group. Pretty awesome.
Great times!

Aunt Becca's Visit

My sister Becca came for a super-quick visit over Memorial Day weekend, and we did some fun stuff to celebrate.

We went for a picnic in the canyon on Saturday, but it was very windy and pretty chilly, so we didn't stay too long. Just a few quick hot dogs on the grill and a few photos; soon it was so gusty we had to get out of there.

Later we looked for some indoor fun to avoid the rain, and we ended up at BYU for a little bowling. And a few arcade games, like my personal favorite, air hockey.

The kids love bowling, and they are pretty good at it.

I'm not exactly sure what's going on here, but this picture of Chris and Nathaniel is hilarious.

On Monday we went to this awesome park in Lindon.

I'm assuming I tilted the camera when I took this, otherwise that is a pretty steep slide Lindsey is braving.

Building up some speed . . .

. . . whoosh!

The boy loved swinging.

And so did the girl.

This photo is pretty cool.

They had loads of fun on the tire swing.

A few monkeys hanging around.

It was a fun weekend. Thanks for coming to visit us, Bec. Come back soon!
