Lovin' Summer

Yes, the most wonderful time of the year is upon us -- at least it's the most wonderful to me, though I know some of you would disagree. I love summer! I love the hot weather (I can say that since I'm blessed to have air conditioning), and I love having the kids out of school.

Summer means lots of cool stuff.

Hanging out in the backyard.

Trampoline jumping.

Having a picnic lunch on the grass.

Playing ball with the boys.

Sitting in the swing with my dirty-faced boy.

Eating strawberries right out of this awesome strawberry patch.

Growing a garden.

Because of all the reading he did this year, Bradley was entered in a drawing and won this really cool bike. Even though he doesn't look it here, he's pretty happy about it.

Nathaniel had a very succesful Cub Scout Olympics this year, winning ribbons for First Place in Pushups and Second Place for Standing Long Jump. He was the overall Silver Medalist in the Webelos age group. Pretty awesome.
Great times!

Who wouldn't have a great time in your back yard? A trampoline AND a strawberry patch?!? That's like Heaven on Earth to just about every kid I know!

Your garden is looking great! Jon is getting pretty excited about his. He planted this year in the plot I dug out last year (but we didn't end up using).

That's so neat Bradley won a bike! Wow! And way to go Nathaniel for winning those ribbons and the silver medal! Fantastic.

And I love dirty faced little boys. I have one of my own (James). Sometimes I forget what his face looks like clean, even though I take a wipe to it at least five times a day.

I'm pretty excited that summer is here, too.

I just read the comments on your sidebar, and I _love_ Lindsey's comment. That is fabulous.

Yeah, Bradley!!! The bike is so cool! And Nathaniel, I'm SO proud of you! (love the shirt, btw) :).
And my Lindsey is the cutest thing on earth! Besides my Joseph! Oh, how I miss y'all!

How did I miss this post?! I wish summer would come to MA - it's cold and rainy today. Dan doesn't get out of school until June 26th!

I love seeing pictures of the children.
