Catching Up

Finally getting around to posting a few photos -- actually, I'm finally feeling good enough to do so. If any of you hadn't heard (which I'm sure you have), I've been sick for quite some time, and it's only recently that I've come through it and have started getting back to normal.

So here are some updates.

Lindsey is my beautiful princess, always.

Chris took the kids on one last camping trip a couple of months ago. They absolutely love going.

A princess is a princess, even in the woods.

A cute little Bradley monkey in a tree.

Mel always handles the kids' Halloween costumes because she loves to and because she's so good at it. That was especially important this year as I never would have been able to get anything together for them. And to complicate matters, the boys had to have separate costumes for school. Each grade level had a theme, and costumes had to match the theme -- 1st grade was Egypt, and Bradley wanted to be a mummy. 6th grade was Greek gods and goddesses, and Nathaniel went as Atlas. (Thanks to Uncle Matt Cox for the drawings on the globe.) I thought they looked great!

Of course their REAL costumes were all Harry Potter themed. Lindsey made the world's cutest Hermione, complete with "Hogwarts: A History" and Crookshanks.

Nathaniel is the perfect Harry.

And Bradley is an adorable Ron Weasley. (Not pictured: Scabbers, courtesy of Kirsten.)

Joseph made a cute and cuddly Voldemort. He was so darn cute, walking around casting spells wth his wand, looking so proud in his robe. I have to check the other camera for more photos of him -- I know Chris took some of him in action.

We also recently celebrated Lindsey's 5th birthday -- my baby girl is growing up. We had, what else, another Princess Party.

Modeling some new jewelry.

She got a cute little set of hair care stuff -- dryer, flat iron, etc. The boys were thrilled to try them out! It was too funny! (And a little disconcerting.)

Her cake was Tinkerbell themed. Mel did a great job, as always. (Thank goodness for Mel.)

Happy Birthday, baby. I love you more than I can say. Every day you make me proud to be your mom. You are funny, adorable, kind, and the sweetest girl ever. I couldn't love you more.

Random shots -- Joseph likes to do housework in just a diaper!

(Mom, don't kill me.) When mom visited, she and Joseph had fun reading together. Look how happy he is to have his Marmee read to him!

Some of my cuties. I love this family. Life is good.

Just checked in on your blog after being busy myself for several months. I just love your family. I've been so glad to see your smiling face, although you still smiled while you were sick, so it was hard to tell. I know you won't ask for help, but know that you and your family are in the prayers of many. Love you guys.

Julie,
I feel out of the loop because I didn't know you were sick. I am glad to know you are feeling somewhat better and I'll pray for you. And, I'm only 10 minutes away. Let me know if I can help!
Those Harry Potter costumes are amazing. And I loved your birthday wishes to Lindsey. I feel the same way about my Mia. You are a wonderful and inspiring mother, Julie.
I miss you too.
