Playing Catch Up

I can admit that I've become a lazy blogger.....it's just that blogging seems to be going the way of all old technology, and it's so much easier to just post pictures on facebook and be done with it. But I realize not all of you are on facebook, so I will try to do better. The problem is this takes SO long -- it took me about two hours to do these two posts. Between editing and uploading photos, it is just so time consuming. Nevertheless, I will strive to post more regularly.

So much has happened in the past few months, so here's a quick recap......

My baby boy turned 4 years old!!!! I am so amazed that this much time has gone by and that my baby really isn't a baby anymore.....as he reminds me daily. He is however, still as cute as he can be and steals my heart over and over again. He says the funniest things and gives amazing hugs and kisses. He really is at the perfect age right now -- potty trained, somewhat independent, but oh-so-sweet and still a little clingy. We have so much fun together just hanging out every day.

He wanted a Buzz and Woody birthday, so that's what he got. Thanks to Aunt Shannon for making his cake, which he loved.

He was SO excited about his birthday! This is one happy boy!

Random shot of me with one of my Christmas gifts from my honey.....let's just say we are well on our way to having a home recording studio.....now if only I could sing.....
We went to the BYU game for Joseph's birthday activity......courtside seats and snacks....what could be better, asks Emmalee, as she downs some popcorn.
Lindsey wanted to make posters to hold up during the game; since she couldn't find any posterboard, she used note paper. I especially loved this adorable drawing of a cougar that she did. LOVE THIS GIRL!!!
My ever-frugal hubby smuggled lil' smokies into the game. That's all I have to say about that.
This is the life......
Back in December we spent an evening at Planet Play, and the kids really enjoyed it. It's sort of like Chuck-E-Cheese except with better games and pizza that is actually edible. We had so much fun hanging out together!

The air hockey was a definite highlight.......

This cute picture of a cute boy got stuck in the middle, and it's too much trouble to move it....so there it is.....you're welcome.

Skee-ball, baby! (Or however you spell it.)

Super strong man!!!
Back in November we were pleased to attend Lindsey's first ballet recital. It was pretty much the cutest thing ever, and she was amazingly good! I was worried she would get shy and not really participate, but she did everything perfectly. All the photos were blurry, but here's the best one....she's on the front row on the right.
I am one proud mama. (But boy I hate all that makeup on my little baby girl!)
Oh, these photos are all out of order!!! My sincerest apologies.
Here's my silly man on his birthday! Blowing out the candle on his brownie and ice cream!
Back to Planet Play.....Nathaniel helping his little bro with a little mini bowling.

Bradley had to decorate a pumpkin to look like a literary character, so he chose Robin Hood, and this is the result. Bradley is adorable, and Robin turned out super-cute!
My little ballerina on her way to have her pictures taken.....
A rare shot of me, making dinner with a smile on my face......yeah, I don't like making dinner.
The kids had Spy Day at school during spirit week......I think they were absolutely adorable in their costumes!!!!!

Nathaniel is loving Scouts and really doing well. He's gotten so many merit badges and rank advancements already. I am so glad Chris is the Scoutmaster and able to participate with him.
All the way back to Thanksgiving......here's the beautiful (if I can say so) apple pie I made -- the first one ever. It tasted good too!
Our scrumptous feast......posting this is making me super hungry.
Playing games together after dinner is a favorite Thanksgiving Day tradition....even with Joseph's finger in his nose.....

Ahhhhh, good times. Life is grand......

Thank you, Honey, for doing all the work to let those of us who don't get to see y'all have the opportunity to get a glimpse into your lives. It's wonderful to see all of the pictures and read what you write! I'm SO proud of you and the family you and Chris have. I love you!

Oh my goodness. You made me hungry too. And I hadn't thought of smuggling in lil' smokies. Hmph. I'll have to try that.

"Now if only I could sing..." Ha, whatever woman! You can!! I've loved listening to you, and hope I get to lots more times too.

And that apple pie?! WOW! It looks amazingly delicious and awesome. Beautiful!

And I love the finger in the nose shot.

And I kept cracking up about your not having the time to switch around shots. I so get the arghness of all of that.

Love you, girl.
